Paddle pop stick patch work

What you will need:

  • Paddle pop sticks

  • Textas and/or water colour palette (+paint brush) and/or oil pastels

  • Glue stick

  • Masking tape

  • A piece of paper

What to do:

Make a collection of paddle pop sticks. Using textas, oil pastels or water colours, you are going to work towards designing one side of every single paddle pop stick with a unique artworks. Look around you what patterns do you observe? Perhaps this could be the inspiration you are looking for when it come to designing your paddle pop sticks. Think about the patterns we see in nature, could these be patterns that you could use to design your sticks?

Once you have worked to design every stick, you will need a piece of paper and a glue sticks. Begin by arranging your paddle pos sticks into to your desired layout. Be sure to move them around and play with your layout before. Do certain colours or patterns work better together? Very carefully start applying the glue and securing the paddle pop sticks to the paper. Once they are all down, you may want to use your scissor to cut away any excess paper, you may also want to secure any wobbly stick with a bit of masking tape. Et Viola!
